Alba Trampoline Club gymnast Sophie Thomas competed as the only Scottish trampolinist in the 2015 NDP British Championship.  She competed 2 solid routines to win bronze, third place in her age group and level.  Sophie and the rest of the club members are now training towards the Scottish National Championships in September 2015.

June 20th 2015

Alba TC trampoline gymnasts competed in Bell's Sports Centre Perth at the last Assessment day to qualify for the Scottish National Championships.

The competition proved to be a success for all the club members who all competed to the best of their ability and succeeded in qualifying and lifting medals.

The successful club members were selected to compete at the NDP Regional Finals held in Peterborough as part of the Scotland Team.  They all competed and completed their routines successfully and placing in the top 10 with Sophie Thomas and Codi McWilliams winning bronze medals and Sophie Thomas securing her place at the British Gymnastics Regional NDP Championships in Telford Arena, on the 11th & 12th July 2015.

Codi McWilliams and Sophie Thomas both won bronze medals at the NDP Regional Finals in Peterborough June 2015.  Both were presented with their medals from the Olympic Trampolinist Kat Driscoll who has just also won a silver medal at the Baku Games.

HRH The Princess Royal officially opened the new £3.8m Barrhead Foundry.

During her visit HRH spent time with Barrhead school children, met locals who use the Foundry for sport and leisure, including the Committee Members of the Barrhead Community Sports Hub clubs.

HRH The Princess Royal also learned about major regeneration projects planned over the next 20 years and how they will improve and benefit the local area.

The Sports Hub provided an afternoon of sports activities to the pupils of Carlibar Primary School in partnership with ER Active Schools. The pupils were able to participate in cricket, netball, badminton and trampolining and swimming.
